Take The Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge

Take The Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge

Hey guys, all the month November, we’re asking you to participate in The Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge. This pledge is designed to raise funds for the Mercy 4 The Voiceless Animal Sanctuary serving the entire Rio Grande Valley. Here is all the information you will need:

When: All the month of November 2016
Who: Anyone 21 and over, curious about craft beer
How: A different craft beer per day for six days (12 or 16 oz. can or bottle only)
Why: To raise funds for Mercy 4 The Voiceless Animal Sanctuary ($3,000.00 goal)

What: Participants must purchase the official Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge button at Grain To Glass (GTG) for a donation of $5 as an “angel sponsor” in order to participate. Angel Sponsors are given a rescue award that goes on our rescue walls. All the rescue awards will be hung within GTG during the month of November. They can pick up the award to hang (maybe frame) at home after November is over. We’re asking participants to sacrifice their usual non-craft beers and try something new. Also, if you already drink craft beer, and it’s usually 4 or more a day, then the sacrifice is scaling back craft beer consumption.

Also available are Bronze, Silver and Gold sponsorships. Here’s what they will receive:

Participants are encouraged to purchase their six different craft beers at GTG during the time they pick-up their button. GTG will offer a 10% discount to these participants. Craft beer purchased from other retail stores is acceptable.

Participants will then shoot a video with their smartphones and post on Facebook, Snapchat or Instagram. We suggest that they follow this script:

Hi, my name is ____________________________. Today I’m starting my Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge. I’m drinking one different craft beer a day for six days. I’m helping to raise funds for Mercy 4 The Voiceless Animal Sanctuary. Here’s my button (points to button). These are my six different craft beers. (point to beers placed in front). I nominate ____________________ and _______________________ to help me save abandoned, neglected and abused animals here in the Rio Grande Valley. Cheers! (Pop open a beer and have a sip.)

Participants are encourage to create another video mid-way through their challenge saying something like this:

Hey guys, I have an update for you. Some of you know that I have accepted the Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge, benefiting Mercy 4 The Voiceless Animal Sanctuary. I’m on my third day. So far, so good. The last two beers I had were great and I hope to drink them again. Once I’m done, I’ll shoot another video to tell you guys my overall experience. Cheers.

On the last day we encourage participants to do a recap and describe how it was to drink only craft beer for six days. They can say something like this:

Hey guys, I’m on my last day of the Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge, benefiting Mercy 4 The Voiceless Animal Sanctuary. I have to admit, it was nice to try something new. I can easily see myself asking my server what craft beers are available the next time I’m out. I really enjoyed the ________________________________ and _________________________. Those were my favorite. Have a great weekend, guys. Cheers!

After the month is over, participants will be invited to a “Grain To Glass Craft Beer Challenge Mixer” at Grain To Glass in December so they can mingle and talk about their craft beer experience.

There it is, folks. If you think you’re down for the challenge, you can start looking at our beer selection either from out tap menu or bottles and cans list. Cheers and let’s do this!
