About Carlos Cardenas

Carlos is a graduate of the University of Texas Pan American, where he majored in English with emphases in linguistics and creative writing. After years of instruction and influence from his grandfather, Carlos began cooking professionally in McAllen, TX. He is driven by his love to write, cook, and what some would call overindulge in wine and craft beer. In his current position at Grain To Glass, he is the host of the wonderfully entertaining Trivia Tuesdays, the Rio Grande Valley’s first pub trivia event. Despite his remarkably average-looking appearance, he’s quite the silver tongue and loves the opportunity to share in conversation with anyone who’ll have him. Current favorite beer style: Saison
